Discuss with your fiancé what is most important to the both of you. Is it venue location, flowers, Photo/Video, music, food, or special effects for the big day? Once you figure this out it’s onto the next step; finding vendors that meet your budget and vision for your big day.
Start with a Wedding Planner
Most couples think that a wedding planner is out of their budget so they forgo working with one. When in reality they can help you save money by recommending venues and vendors that do a great job and are reliable. They might even have special offers from vendors they know and trust.
We personally work with Lily In June’s owner and wedding planner Stephanie Coulter to help her brides find photographers, videographers, DJ’s, Photobooths, and special effects to bring their wedding visions to life.
Ask vendors for referrals
Once you’ve found one vendor you trust don’t be afraid to ask them for a recommendation of other vendors you might be looking for also. They will be happy to point you in the direction of someone who will match your budget, style, and personality.
When we have talk with brides or are asked, we happily will mention that we work with companies like Lily In June (floral and decorations) and The Couture Cake company. We also can help refer out to venues that we are preferred at like The Pavilion at Vida Bela if needed also.
Lastly, Don’t Get Locked In
When looking at venues make sure you check what their vendor policies are. Some don’t allow you to bring outside vendors in and require that you only work with the vendors they have or a set list they work with only. Try to find a venue that is flexible on their policies so you are free to find vendors you know you’ll be 100% happy with.
